School, I Don't Know

  • Sep. 9th, 2008 at 3:52 PM

I'm tired. Dead-tired.

Not the type of tired where you feel loopy and out of it, slow and uncomprehending. That's a dealt-with tired, where your body isn't so tired but your mind is.

I'm the tired where I can feel my body deteriorating. My mind is jacked and ready to go, and I did my work at a desk fine... But when I had to get up and go through the halls, I just wanted to sleep. Practice was luckily canceled today! Thank God. Mrs. Hynes understood that we would be tired after not getting home until NINE at night. And then, with homework, laundry, and bed time stuff, not sleeping until 10:30.

I'm tired. But we've won every single non-divisional game so far, and if we win on Thursday then it'll be 4 wins, 0 losses. I've never been on a majorly-winning team!! We've got to pull together, though, because our passing is crap and Mrs. Hynes is favoring Sam as the setter for the moment. Sam doesn't talk enough, she messes up just as much if not more than I do, and guess who stays in the game? SAM.

There two possibilities. Mrs. Hynes has higher expectations for me than for Sam, and takes me out of the game to teach me that just because I'm okay doesn't mean I can skate by. That's a whatever-theory.

Or... I suck terribly, and Sam (who's an 8th grader!! I'm a freshman!!) kicks butt and is a younger prodigy setter. Argh.

Oh, and it's fall. It rained today, and the trees are losing their summer-color.

Boredom

  • Sep. 7th, 2008 at 2:49 PM

I'm bored, tired, and I have school tomorrow. It'll take a few weeks to get used to the fact that I have only two days at a time to be a lazy ass, and even then I have tons of things to do. Volleyball tournaments to play (8+ hours on Saturdays), soccer games to watch (2+ hours on Saturdays), football games to watch (3+ hours on Friday nights), babysitting (2+ hours, any day), work (new job on the horizon??), and family shit. Oh, and boarding school visits.

I had to talk to my Global teacher about my application, because I need a recent graded essay for two/three applications. Not Exeter, though. Weird. He was like... Where they at? And I listed them off, and he's like Aaah, well isn't there an all-girls school in Connecticut?

I remembered Anne Walkers (I think), and Emma Willard in New York, but then he was like Anne Porters... I was like Miss Porters? Yeah, that's it!

Haha. It was strange. Then the bell rang.

I went to a football game from 7:30 to 10:00 on Friday.
I watched a varsity boys soccer game from 11:15 to 12:20 (we won, 8-2!!), then my brother's TCYSA soccer game from 12:30 to 1:15 (lost, 2-3), then to Calico Jacks where I applied for a job and ate with my dad, bro, and cousin from 1:30 to 2:30, and then came home and was bitched at all day on Saturday.
Today I got yelled at as I woke up after ignoring my alarms at 5:20, 8:00, and 8:30 by my grandma who said "Get up! We need your help, people are here!" Of course she didn't wake me up earlier so I could shower, she assumed I could automatically entertain church kids in my pajamas... So I showered and got ready at 9, and sat on the computer from 9 til now. Sundays suck. I want to go home.

Ace Ace BABY!

Volleyball, FTW.

It's our first official game today, against NF. Emily NF won't be there because she's playing soccer... Which I did not know... Which definitely makes me sad, because she's awesome and I've only met her ONCE in real life (that I can remember- I'm pretty sure I met her at track IACs at D).

So. As I was saying. First game! I'm excited and nervous, and I'm all dressed up in a polo, sexy bra, and denim miniskirt because we have to dress nice for game days. JV plays first, then we have to change into nice clothes and sit there all gussied up to watch the Varsity play. It'll be exciting, and I have the sexiest makeup ever. And it'll also be only my second time displaying new fashion sense- prepster. Awesome. I have a headache.

I need H2O.

I have my spandex, uniform, tank top, sports bra, socks, shoes, knee pads, water bottle, hair ties... Ummm inhaler? Deodorant. I don't know, I'm bored. Haha.

Boarding School (Part Two)

  • Aug. 24th, 2008 at 12:28 AM

I felt like I should update. Especially on boarding school and my own public school.
Boarding school seems more exciting, so... Yeppers.
Updates? I received information from Choate (DVD!), Andover (suckiest viewbook evahr), Exeter (twice, and DVD!), Deerfield (eh), Hotchkiss (DVD), Dana Hill School (don't ask don't ask don't ask), and NOT from Northfield Mount Hermon.
Ew, by the way, my hands are doing the weird sweating thing that happens when I'm sick/tired/BLARGHzombie.
I haven't done any actual work... Either because I'm absolutely retarded or my mom won't do anything... I've asked her to schedule interviews or at least talk about it because we got my volleyball schedule and I have several free weekends... Argh. I think I'll start on essays though, probably tonight when it's past midnight and I'm sleep deprived. Random essays that don't make sense that can be refined later will work juuuust fine.

For regular school news... Not much. I'm calling on Monday to get my schedule. I heard that they called Honors Bio "Earth Science" on the phone to some guy in my grade.... I've been looking forward to Honors Bio since 7th grade or so!! If they change it up I'll be pissed... though they probably didn't. Ugh. The suspense is killing me.

John Hancock... John Footpenis.

  • Jun. 4th, 2008 at 12:21 PM

John Hancock Day was amazing last year.

We got to go where ever we wanted all day and ate lunch outside, which tasted gross but was fun. Plus we got to hang with whoever we wanted, NOT just in our grade.

Miss Marion (Miss Tits) hired a clown. She also refused to let a band play, and she's separating the grades. Instead of going where ever, we have to go by period (following the bell schedule) and go from place to place as THEY see fit. What the fuck?

I can't even hang out with Randy at all. Except at lunch, which is gay anyway because its too short. A couple of my friends and I are thinking of skipping. If I ask my mom she'll probably be cool with it, especially if I say I'm just going to study for finals all day. I will study... A little... Haha.

But last year I spent all day in Ms. Pischottia's room playing DDR and Donkey Konga. It was so fun! And Dan Truesdale and I hung out a lot, for some odd reason, and so did Shannon and Holly and I. Shannon and Holly hate me now. Ooh, post material! The WHOLE story on Randy and I... This'll be good. Very, very good.

Well, Fuck.

  • Jun. 3rd, 2008 at 5:00 PM

Thanks, mom. I was in an awesome mood, because she agreed to buy the bed I wanted. Woo! That's awesome, I loved having.. a bed... Well, I thought it was awesome. It's only $400... Haha...

Then she decided to get pissy when I asked if we were gonna have high-speed internet and satellite in my room. She's like, "Uh, well, I don't think so," except a lot pissier. And when I ask why not, she just gets mad.

Apparently, it's hard enough for her and Wayne without ME being all about what I need in MY space.

Fuck it, it's almost not worth moving if I can't have good internet access or TV. 'Cause we all know that my brother is gonna be all hoggy about the TV if he doesn't get it in his room, and like sharing 1 TV in the main room with 5 other people is a good idea.

I still get a TV, though, because here's what we have:
One of Wayne's TVs in the basement
One in Wayne's room
And the big one in the living room
For us, we have Jake's TV
The TV in the living room
Mom's TV
Kitchen TV
And the TV in the office.

From what I heard, I'm getting the one in the office (huge, yay!). Jake is probably gonna keep his TV, and our awesome TV in the living room is gonna be the new TV in Wayne's living room. The basement TV will probably stay there, and so will the one in Wayne's room. We have 3 extra TVs, jeez! So there's really no excuse that I can't have at least a TV and Mom's DVD player. You see, Jake will have his Xbox 360 to play movies, Wayne already has one in his room, and the basement and living room both have ones already. Mom's DVD player has no where to go! Woo!

I need a nap. More ranting, mostly about school and moving, later.

LiveJournal Sucks.

  • Feb. 18th, 2008 at 11:48 AM

You know what I hate?
How hard it is to find damn friends around livejournal. You'd think with communities, and "view all recent posts" you would find a random, interesting person pretty damn quick, si?
Eh... Wrong.
I haven't a single person who isn't chronicling their weight loss, their encounters with Jesus, or speaks English that can interest me further than the first sentence. There are so many nut jobs! And the normal ones, well, I can't fuckin' find 'em! If anyone is out there, please, please, direct me to some semi-normal human beings.

Please?
